Ensure you meet these requirements

To qualify for the Hyperion South African Scholarship, you must be one of the following:


Full-time student

Proof of registration at your institution required.

Earning less than R10,000 net salary per month

Pay slips required.

Unemployed

Affidavit and 3 months' bank statements are required.






Understand the costs

The Hyperion South African Scholarship will cover 33% of your tuition fees for 1, 3, or 9 months of mentor support with Hyperion on any of our online courses in software development. You will be required to pay the remaining 66% of fees up-front, and can choose one of the following payment plans:

Where do the courses take place?

Our courses are taken completely online. Work at your own pace, when and where it suits you.


How does it work?

With an active mentor support subscription, you receive written feedback on your submitted code and assignments as part of any of our online courses in a fast as a few minutes. Rather than waiting for a set mentor support session or call - you choose when to submit your work via our online learning platform allowing you maximum flexibility around your learning schedule. You also gain access to priority live chat and email support with our mentor team and weekly tutorial session calls.


Will I be able to find a job after graduating?

Highly likely. Hyperion runs the only platform that connects software developers to companies across Southern Africa - Hyperion Careers. Once you graduate from one of our courses, your 1:1 trainer will work with you to create a developer CV & profile on the site and refer your profile to hundreds of companies hiring on our platform. How long will it take?

Our online, part-time courses take an average of 3 months to complete assuming a commitment of 10 hours per week. Your mentor support subscription can be extended at any time.


Can I pause my scholarship?

You are expected to continue with an active mentor support subscription until completion of your respective course or learning path. Should you stop your subscription in between, you will forfeit your scholarship.
